DESIGN OBJECTIVES:
HIGHLIGHT THE CAMPUS ART COMMUNITY
CASUAL UPSCALE DINING
SUBTLE BRANDING OF UNIVERSITY
RICH UPHOLSTERY PALETTE
PROJECT BRIEF:
The south wing of Mizzou's Memorial Union will be remodeled to house a restaurant and hotel. The building consists of four floors. The remodeled wing has a student lounge and conference hall in the lower level, a restaurant and jazz lounge on the ground level, and hotel suites make up the remaining first and second level.
The design for the restaurant will support the campus's nearby art and music community by providing a small artist spotlight. The finishes in this project will be bold and pattern-rich to create a destination that attracts those inside and out of the community.
